Large modern Mexican restaurant. We ordered three entrees and went family style. All the food we shared was solid.
1st visit to this establishment. Food is top notch! Our wait staff, Sam was attentive but not hovering in any way. Suggested some great ideas to try. Chips and salsa to start. Salsa is so fresh and not hot, just spicy enough. We ordered guacamole on the side and it was delicious. I don't know their secret but it was very good! I had the Pableno Relleno and it was excellent. I judge a Mexican restaurant by the Relleno and this one was exceptional. There used to be a restaurant in Bellevue called ZTejas that had my most favorite chili relleno ever and Cactus has met that challenge and exceeded with their dish. It has a similar sauce but slightly more edgy which I appreciated. You know that saying, "If it's not messy, it's not good," in this case it is spot on for the Mexican Street Corn. It is very very good and messy and it changes as you roll the cobb around to eat it. SO enjoyable! I had the Baja Margarita that was cucumber cooled with sliced jalapeños and it was satisfying and refreshing. It was not hot or spicy which was a delightful surprise. If the jalapeño steers you away, you don't know what you are missing! What a wonderful first visit. The manager came by and gave us a flan for dessert as a thank you - we will definitely be back!
Usually I really like their quesadillas for lunch or dinner. However, I NEVER knew they a brunch menu!! Their brunch menu is available every Saturday and Sunday 10am-2pm. I have a major sweet tooth so I got the churro waffle. We also got the tres leches French toast and Migas, all of which were so good. If you're looking for a savory brunch menu item, Migas is the way to go. I loved the French toast and churro waffles but be warned that it is really quite sweet.

Plenty of veggies guacamole rice and amazing corn tortillas! Great lunch or dinner option for any vegans or vegetarians.
Was in Bellevue for a work trip and decided to stop here for dinner one night. I was surprised how tasty the food was. I started with some chips, salsa, and guacamole. I then had the brisket burrito. The burrito was seriously so good. Would highly recommend it. I got there around 5:30 pm and sat in the bar. It wasn't too busy, but there was a continuous flow of people as the time went on. Service was good and fast. Would recommend!

We had such a wonderful experience with our server CHRIS, he was so hardworking, he checked up on us often and you could see he really loves his job, he has such great customer service skills and I appreciate that and love to write about it when I see great service! Cactus is so lucky to have a server like him, he's passionate as to what he does and love his job! Keep up the great work Chris, you made our dining experience at cactus so much better!!! I hope people will recognize your skills also! I did!!!!
Always love going here. Always used Yelp to reserve your spot on the waitlist. And the list moves up quickly. Nice upbeat place to celebrate with your family and friends. Service is fast and attentive. Good menu with lots of traditional plus new options. Loved the chicken tamales which was a seasonal dish. I did find that they have cut down or portions. Chips and salsa too is paid. I still recommend this place though. It's my fav spot for Mexican American food !
